Walter Allward (1878-1955) was the monument sculptor and designer who created the Canadian National Vimy Memorial in France, following the First World War.

In 2005, Tony Urquhart curated an exhibition of Allward's drawings – some for real projects and many from his imagination – drawn from both public and private collections. The show was organized by Gallery Stratford and travelled to Kingston, Ottawa and Peterborough. Punch & Judy designed the exhibition catalogue.
